#30daysongchallenge A song that reminds you of yourself

The final day of the challenge is another bizarre theme – a song that reminds you of yourself. I literally cannot think of a song that does that. I have gone for a classic Take That song as it reminds me to keep humble.

So, what have I learned after doing the #30daysongchallenge? That I have an eclectic musical taste and that songs generally don’t carry much meaning to me. They give me memories but they don’t give me feelings. And most of all – that I just love music because it makes me happy and gives me energy!

The Wonder Years: May 2020

More classic dance tunes – this time from 1991 to 2000.

We begin with the original and best version of You Got The Love and end with a remix of JLS (topical due to their recently announced reunion).

Inbetween we come across some absolute classics including Please Don’t Go, Rockin’ For Myself, Dreamer and Where Love Lives.

We also rediscover Ibiza classic Makes Me Love You and trance gem Out Of The Blue. Sash! makes his first appearance.

Enjoy the best version of Call Me (not Eric Prydz, but Red Kult) and DJ Antoine’s All We Need.

#30daysongchallenge A song that makes you want to fall in love

I can’t help but feel, at this point, the challenge was ambushed by a lovesick teenager. Today’s is a song that makes me want to fall in love, and tomorrow’s is a song that breaks my heart. Groan…

Thinking Out Loud is a perfect love song. That’s all I need to say.

#30daysongchallenge A song you like by an artist no longer living

I’m kind of cheating here. I am no Tammy Wynette fan, but I love this song and the link to her being an artist no longer living is just a way to get the song into the challenge.

Justified & Ancient is a classic. Its lyrics are inspired, but nonsense (they’re justified and they’re ancient and they drive an ice cream van). The original version is fab but I equally love the White Room Version.

#30daysongchallenge A song by a band you wish were still together

Whatever is my favourite Oasis song and Oasis are the band that I wish were still together. The Oasis from the first three albums, the fun, couldn’t give a shit, rock band, not the overblown produced band they eventually became.

I don’t actually think they should get back together. I think the moment for Oasis has gone. But weren’t they amazing?! I consider myself lucky to have been a teenager at just the right time to experience the whole Oasis bandwagon!
