#30daysongchallenge A song that makes you want to dance

The Ultimate High was the song that I never got to dance to – ok, well once. Released in 1993 I remember hearing it but not knowing what it was until a few years later.

It wasn’t until my late teens when I was out clubbing that I heard it again and loved it – the one and only time I danced to it!

Somehow I worked out what the song was called and now it features on my favourite songs playlist. It’s a classic that should have had more success than it did.

There were loads of songs I could have picked here. But I’ve gone for one of my favourite songs ever… Insanity by Oceanic was a song that I loved back in 1991. My brother had it on CD and I would sneak into his bedroom and listen to it. I had to play it quietly and maybe that’s why I now need to play it loudly!

It’s an amazing song!

Not really sure what to pick for this one as there’s no one I’d like to forget.

But there were people at high school who I’m glad to see the back of, so here’s a song that reminds me of high school! But this song doesn’t remind me of the people I’d rather forget, it makes me remember my best friend from high school, David.

Three Little Birds is a fantastic song which seems so important right now in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis.

“Don’t worry about a thing ‘cos every little thing is gonna be alright.”

All we have right now is hope and this song offers hope and comfort. We can get through this!

Ok, so I’m on day one and I could have already shared my cheesiest song choice.

I have such a soft spot for Blue – but not the vocal version – the Ice Pop Instrumental Version.

It’s hard to believe that such a perfect piano-based dance tune would be tarnished with the god-awful vocal that it was. But I love this mix.
